We occasionally have kittens available to approved homes and prospective buyers for one of my kittens will be screened...   I want my kittens to go to loving, financially stable and responsible homes that will provide for their physical/ emotional health and well-being.  Our primary goal is to raise Happy, Healthy, Quality Ragdolls that have Sweet and Loving temperaments.  Our kittens are raised in our home and underfoot.  Equally loved and adored whether pet, breeder, or show quality. They are well socialized to kids, other cats and the daily activity of our house.

We are not a pet store and we make NO money from breeding our cats... all the money that we take in via "kitten sales" is used for cat/ kitten related expenses.... this is my hobby, not a business or a for-profit organization.... therefore please respect my decision as to whom may adopt one of my kittens/cats- We reserve the right to refuse to sell to somebody who, in our opinion, is not the right family/person for one of our kittens/cats.

PLEASE thoroughly read this entire page BEFORE emailing me about a kitten that I may have for sale OR about future litters.

All new owner are required to sign a written, legal and binding contract stating that they agree to spayed/neutered their new kitten if they are buying their kitten without breeding righ

I am researching my options for doing early spay/neuters for kittens and I think I may have found a vet.  Hopefully as of January 2009 ALL kittens that are sold as pets will be spay or neutered!

At this time we are NOT selling kittens with Breeding rights.
Breeding rights are only available to other Breeders that I personally know or in some cases I may consider an individual that I do not know if they are:
1) An established small cattery (less than 10 cats) that is actively showing......
2) New breeders with at least one champion (shown by themselves to its championship).
3) Breeders that are interested in preserving and protecting the Ragdoll breed with set goals to achieve this.

A kitten sold with Breeding rights will be sold on strict  terms (legal and binding- my sales contract was written by an attorney).  "Kitten trades" may also be considered depending on several factors, written contract, offered by private treaty.

We reserve the right to refuse to sell to somebody who, in our opinion, is not the right family/person for one of our kittens/cats.

Kittens are usually ready to go to their new homes between 11-12 wks old. Our kittens are raised "under foot" and are well socialization to kids, people and other cats. They are given age appropriate wormings and vaccinated for Rhintracheitis, Calici, Panleukopenia.
.
For the health of our nursing moms and young kittens we do not allow viewing of unvaccinated kittens by their new owners until after 8 wks of age. This is to avoid exposure to possible germs/ diseases and stress while the kittens immune systems are immature and developing.  Eventhough the risk of disease/germs being brought into my home by a visitor is small I will not risk it! I would rather pass up a "sale" of a kitten than pontentially risk the health of an entire litter...  Thank you for understanding my policies concerning this issue.  We take many pictures of individual kittens to help prospective new owners decide if they want to buy one of our kittens and I will give all new owners an honest evaluation of each kitten in terms of temperament, health and quality.
.
Visits to my home is by appointment only.
.
No cash refunds.  All payments are non refundable, including deposits.  The deposit on a kitten may be paid via personal check but final Payment at the time the buyer is picking up his/her kitten must be made by cash or US Postal Money.
*We do not accept Personal Checks or Bank Money Orders for final payment.
*Payment plans are available.
*Please Note- we will accept personal checks/ bank money orders ONLY for the deposit.
.
We require a minimum deposit of $100.00 to reserve the kitten.  Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE.  Kittens will be placed "on hold" for only 3 days as we wait for the deposit to arrive. A kitten is considered "reserved" once a deposit has been received.
.
A kitten that is under deposit must be paid for in full by the time he/she is 12 wks old. If not paid for in full by that time the kitten will no longer be reserved for that individual and the kitten will be advertised as available.  All deposits are non refundable.
.
We reserve the right to cancel a sale of any kitten for any reason.

Wonder what a Ragdoll looks like or how they interact with people??  I would suggest visiting a cat show.  Here is the link for the CFA show schedule.  I have had many individuals ask to come to my home to visit with my cats to see if a Ragdoll cat is the right pet for them.  This is not a pet store, nor a petting zoo, but a private home: we have kids, school scheduled, doctor appts, children related activities and also strangers coming to my home increases the risk of my cats being exposed to potential diseases being carried in on the shoes and clothing of strangers.... therefore visits are only allowed to pick up a kitten that has been purchased.

Eventhough we only live 30 minutes from the Burlington International Airport we prefer not to ship because of the stress a kitten will be subjected to while enroute to his/her new home BUT we do offer shipping but highly prefer that new buyers come to our home to pick up their kitten, therefore before emailing me please take into consideration the distance it is to my house to pick up the kitten. . I live about 25 north of Burlington VT, about 6 miles off from I89.

For a small fee I am willing to meet new owners at these locations:
Whitehall, NY (round trip for me: 4 hrs, 174 miles) - $65.00
White River Junction, VT (round trip for me: 4 hrs, 210 miles) - $65.00
Springfield, VT (round trip for me: 4 hrs 40 minutes, 270 miles)- $75.00
Jefferson, NH (round trip for me: 5 hrs, 214 miles)- $90.00
Gorham, NH (round trip for me: 6 hrs, 250 miles)- $110.00
Newbury, NH (ound trip for me: 5 hrs, 275 miles)- $100
Bethel, ME (round trip for me: 7 hrs, 321 miles) - $125.00

Just a little more about shipping kittens... I rarely ship kittens, but if needed than I will consider allowing a kitten to be shipped.  Shipping may be available during these months: September, October, November, early December, March, April, May.   Your kitten will be thoroughly examined by my Veterinarian within 2- 10 days prior to the kitten's flight.  New owners need to be aware that during transit your kitten will be exposed to many different people, places, in same cases to other animals and we obviously cannot control events that may occur during transit and of course the general stress of flying....  therefore, there is always a small chance that he/she may not arrive on your end in the same perfect health. Because of this risk, we require you to have your kitten thoroughly re-examined (including fecal testing) by your Veterinarian within 24 hours of arrival.

If we determine that a kitten is developing in a way that we had not anticipated and it is in the best interest of our cattery to keep this kitten as a future show and/or breeding prospect, than the sale of the kitten will be cancelled (since I want to stay a small in home cattery this would rarely happen). Deposits are only refundable if I determine that I do not have a kitten for you.  We will not cancel a sell of a kitten because of quality to sell said kitten to another breeder/cattery; I only reserve the right to keep such kittens for my own breeding program.   If I am not able or planning on keeping a kitten for myself than the show/breeding quality kittens are available as pets on neuter/spay contract.

 Two Are Better Than One!

* By having two or more cats, you are able to enjoy the true social nature of cats and their relationship with each other.

* Cats who have a playmate tend to be more socially well-adjusted, smarter, and avoid behavioral problems like shyness, biting, hissing, being frightened and hiding in the company of people they don't know.

* Cats need stimulation during the day like humans. Studies have shown that some animals left alone most of the day in the house, have brains that weigh up to 25% less than those whose lives hold more stimulation and activity.

* In Switzerland, an anti-cruelty law was passed that requires people who are buying dogs and cats to acquire two instead of one since it is the nature of an animal to have company of his/her own kind.

* Cats are much less likely to gain weight due to lack of movement, and to suffer related illnesses.

* They are less likely to ruin furniture out of boredom.
* If you must work long hours or travel for a couple of days, two more cats keep each other company and are more tranquil during your absence.

* It's more likely that people bring back an adopted cat due to behavior problems when only one has been adopted rather than two.

* Your cat will remain more playful and youthful into his or her later years with a companion.

*The workload to care for two cats remains relatively the same.

*You don't need more space for a second cat!

* Because......Two Are Better Than One!

HCM DNA testing should be done on all Ragdoll cats that will be used for breeding with the goal of only breeding negative/negative cats.  The cost for the test is ONLY $40 - $60........  there is NO excuse not to test all Ragdoll cats that will used for breeding.
